Who we are

With the establishment of Mapase B.V., its director, Wil Poort, has realised his long-held dream: his own company to develop independent real estate initiatives on a human scale. His tremendous dedication, realistic approach and pleasure in the development process, together with his enthusiasm and perseverance, make him, and thus also Mapase, a unique player in the real estate market.

Wil Poort was educated as a Chartered Accountant and worked in accountancy from 1985 - 1999, the last years as a director at KPMG. In 2000, he became a major shareholder and director of CornDon Investments, where he was responsible for the development of real estate properties, shareholdings in companies and the management of the existing portfolio.

In one of the shareholdings, Dahlman Industrial Group, he was intensively involved in the daily operations of the company as a Financial director for many years. When one of the most profitable future scenarios seemed to be the sale of a business unit, this was later successfully realised in part by Wil. The acquisition of an international party meant the sale of CornDon’s most important shareholding. For Wil Poort, this was the moment to start developing new initiatives from Mapase.
